Welcome to the Governors Section of our website
I have been a Governor at Loddon for 8 years and was delighted to be appointed as Chair of Governors from the start of the 2018-19 school year.
The Governing Body consists of volunteers who support the School’s Teaching and Leadership team in setting and monitoring its strategic direction. We are very fortunate to have a group of experienced governors who bring with them a wide range of professional expertise and backgrounds. What we all share in common is a desire to see our school continuously improve, and be a safe, happy and productive environment in which the children will thrive.
I am enormously proud of the way in which the school has grown over the years, and our successes are a testament to the dedication of the whole community and our values ethos.

Are you interested in becoming a school governor?
Anyone can apply to be a school governor. You don't have to be a parent of a child in the school or have worked in a school. People who have particular skills or experience to offer are welcomed.
Governors work as a team so the amount of time each of them can give will vary. However you will need to be able to prepare for meetings and attend meetings - the governing body meets at least once a term, but you probably will also serve on at least one committee that meets each half-term. Meetings will often be during the evening but may be early or during the day.
